City Asset Management (CAM), an independent investment management company dedicated to the maintenance and preservation of the asset base and wealth of its clients has announced that it has licensed Pulse Symphony; the latest front office wealth management solution from Pulse Software.
While the company's clients include corporations and authorised intermediaries, the majority are private clients where CAM focuses on their wealth management and financial planning needs.
CAM invests on a multi-asset basis with the aim to achieve a real return for clients over an investment cycle. We define multi-asset as highlighting that CAM are not wedded to a simple mix of equity, fixed interest and cash investing; all asset classes are considered. In simple terms, we would define real return investing as a style of investment that aims to achieve returns in excess of a risk-free benchmark such as cash or short term government debt over a full market cycle.
Helen Angove, Business Development Director at City Asset Management says:
"Because our investment approach is flexible we require our systems to be highly adaptable in order to support this. We research and develop views about the global macroeconomic market and relate that to the perspectives and needs of our clients. From this we then select appropriate investments.
It was for these reasons that we initially invested in the Pulse platform back in 2003. Since that time our business has continued to grow and evolve as indeed have the requirements of our clients.
We regularly review our IT requirements and it became clear to us that the time was right to further invest in our IT strategy, both to support our growth and to enable the provision of even higher levels of client service.
We took the same exhaustive approach in researching and selecting an appropriate new system as we did 9 years ago, carrying out a detailed evaluation of potentially suitable system providers.
We found that the market had changed considerably since our last full scale review with many new suppliers having entered this space. Pulse had also developed its new Front Office suite, Symphony, offering us significant new levels of functionality.
Having evaluated the competition, we discovered that Pulse is still one of only a few software companies able to provide a true, comprehensive, fully integrated end to end solution that meets all of our needs across our front, middle and back Offices.
We are confident that we now have a solid technology platform in place upon which to continue our growth and maintain our high standards of client service."
